as a 10 mm thick three-layer board, it embodies everything that is in demand in the modern construction and design world: thin, sustainable, authentic, exceptionally resilient.
Modular Furniture System from Solid Oak – Tool-Free, Flat-Pack, Made in Germany
Raumfänger is a modular furniture system made from real solid wood – crafted from natural, worm-eaten oak with characteristic worm holes. No veneer, no laminate: pure solid wood, sustainable and long-lasting. Designed by master carpenter Matteo Kern, handcrafted in Germany (Made in Germany).
The shelf requires absolutely no tools to assemble – no screws, no hammer, no toolbox. It ships flat-pack, is lightweight and fully reversible: it can be disassembled, rearranged or expanded at any time without tools. As a modular furniture system it grows with your needs: expandable with additional shelves and modules at any time.
Design by the principle of "form follows function": The Raumfänger is timeless, reduced and minimalist in its design. No superfluous detail, no ornamentation – only the essential. A piece of furniture that gives the room space to breathe by structuring it without dominating it. The floating appearance is achieved through an ingeniously conceived, invisible joint technique – master carpentry at its finest.
Ideal for architects, interior architects, interior designers and all conscious decorators: timeless solid wood furniture that doesn't follow short-lived trends but permanently complements the space. A shelf as a design statement. Each piece is unique thanks to natural worm holes that ensure no two surfaces look alike.
